AEGON Actuarial Services will be providing scheme actuary services, including our risk management service, to trustees of defined benefit schemes to help them meet the new regulations set under the 2004 Pensions and Finance Acts.
Our actuarial services include:
- production of scheme-specific funding valuations
- production of Pension Protection Fund (s179) valuations
- guidance in preparing statement of funding principles
- assistance with the preparation of statements of investment principles
- guidance in preparing any recovery plan required
- guidance in preparing the schedule of contributions
- provision of statutory certificates for inclusion in the annual report and accounts
Our risk management service introduces the trustees to the concept of investment risk – investment risk in this context being the potential fluctuation in the future financial position of a scheme. Building a greater understanding of the range of potential outcomes from different asset allocation strategies will help the trustees choose the most appropriate scheme funding objective and asset allocation for their specific scheme circumstances.
AEGON Trustee Solutions provides a wide range of services to trustees and sponsoring employers of occupational pension schemes, including investment, administration, accounting, member communication and documentation.
